埼玉県大宮町東光寺に明治42年に寄贈した涅槃図に「東都山東西町住」と書いてある地名（場所）がわからないので調べたい。(台東区立中央図書館)

〇ご質問の「東都山東西町住」がどの地名（場所）なのか判明させることができなかった（地名辞典類で見つけられず）。〇“秋元素幽”という名から調べてみても「東都山東西町住」と結び付けられる資料がない。※参考資料参照事前調査事項:〇秋元政之助素幽は下谷北稲荷町にも住んでいたと『幕末明治女百話』に出てくる。〇『内国絵画共進会出品人略譜 第2回』（国会デジタル閲覧可）に秋元政之助（素幽）の名前あり。“秋元政之助素幽ト號ス武藏國北足立郡大宮宿ニ住ス 松本九郞右衛門ノ男ニシテ天保十三年（1842）九月十日生ナリ 安政五年ヨリ慶應三年迄畫ヲ狩野素川ニニ学ブ ”とある。※他、浅草寺の絵馬、下谷北稲荷町については調査済み。参考資料:B12147646 幕末明治女百話 篠田鉱造／著 角川書店 1971 210.58, (P293)参考資料 ...
