1 『アイヌ史』により豊栄神社建立の新聞記事は北海タイムスの1935年（昭和10年）11月3日に掲載あることが分かり、確認。 →「アイヌの守護神 豊栄神社を建立 近文部落民更生の意気に燃え」という見出しで記事があった。北海道庁から土地をもらった記念日である11月1日に部落氏結合の必要から神社を建立し、上川神社の柴田社司が修祓・祝詞を、アイヌ代表の川村カネトアイヌが玉串奉奠を行い、その後、カムイノミ式を行ったとある。2 『旭川・アイヌ民族の近現代史』によると、1918年（大正7年）に上川第5尋常小学校が豊栄尋常小学校に改称されており（1923年（大正12年）廃校）、この学校は近文アイヌ住民の子弟学校であり、校庭では様々なアイヌの文化的催しが行われていたようである。また、同校の校長を務めた佐々木長左衛門 ...
