タイトル: Doping-dependent fixed charges in SiC/SiO₂ structure著者: Mikami, Kyota; Kaneko, Mitsuaki; Kimoto, Tsunenobu抄録: Doping-dependent fixed charges were found in SiC/SiO₂ structures through a study on threshold voltage in both n- and p-channel SiC metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) with various body doping concentrations. Positive fixed charges increase for the p-body (n-channel) devices and negative fixed charges increase for the n-body (p-channel) devices, both of which retard the increase of threshold voltage in MOSFETs with increasing the body doping.

タイトル: Cellulose oligomer synthesis: Primer effects on structural characteristics in the cellodextrin phosphorylase-catalyzed reverse reaction著者: Konishi, Tatsuhiro; Sasaki, Atsushi; Kusumi, Ryosuke; Wada, Masahisa; Kobayashi, Kayoko抄録: The synthesis of cellulose oligomers catalyzed by cellodextrin phosphorylase (CDP) can easily yield microcrystals with functional groups exposed on their surfaces using glucose derivatives with various functional groups at the C1 position as primers. In this study, we examined and compared the effects of primers with various structures on the structural characteristics of the resulting synthetic products. The yield of the synthetic products positively correlated with the CDP activity toward the primer, whereas the degree of polymerization (DP) and molecular weight distribution showed an inverse correlation. However, deviations from these trends were observed, suggesting the influence of varying solubilities and crystallization behaviors d ...
Persistent Periventricular Anastomosis Associated With Rebleeding After Bypass Surgery for Hemorrhagic Moyamoya Disease

タイトル: Persistent Periventricular Anastomosis Associated With Rebleeding After Bypass Surgery for Hemorrhagic Moyamoya Disease著者: Hamano, Eika; Funaki, Takeshi; Kataoka, Hiroharu; Hidaka, Yu; Kikuchi, Takayuki; Mineharu, Yohei; Chihara, Hideo; Yoshida, Kazumichi; Takagi, Yasushi; Takahashi, Jun C.; Iihara, Koji; Miyamoto, Susumu; Arakawa, Yoshiki抄録: BACKGROUND: Although bypass surgery can reduce rebleeding risk in hemorrhagic moyamoya disease, the risk remaining after surgery is not negligible. We hypothesized that the postoperative persistence of periventricular anastomosis (PA), a fragile periventricular collateral manifestation, is associated with rebleeding. METHODS: This retrospective cohort study included patients with moyamoya disease who underwent direct bypass at 2 institutions after hemorrhagic presentation. Either presence or absence of PA after surgery was radiologically determined by grading of each subtype, lenticulostriate, thalamic, or choroidal anastomos ...

Influence of surface type on outdoor gait parameters measured using an In-Shoe Motion Sensor System

タイトル: Influence of surface type on outdoor gait parameters measured using an In-Shoe Motion Sensor System著者: Shimizu, Hiroki; Tanigawa, Kyoma; Bandara, Anuradhi; Kawamoto, Shinichi; Suzuki, Shota; Nagai-Tanima, Momoko; Aoyama, Tomoki抄録: The objectives of this study were to measure outdoor gait parameters using an In-Shoe Motion Sensor System (IMS) and evaluate how different types of surfaces affect various gait dynamics. Accurate outdoor gait data are crucial for effective fall risk assessment because surface irregularities and tripping hazards often result in falls during walking. An IMS was used in this study to collect spatiotemporal, spatial, and foot parameters from 27 healthy adults walking on indoor asphalt, soil, and grass surfaces. Data were recorded during a 6-minute walk test, with measurements taken every 2 min and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. The results showed significant differences in foot clearance, heel height, and ga ...
Detailed estimation of generated woody biomass ash for use as fertilizer material

from Kyoto University Research Information Repository (2025/3/1 9:00:00)
タイトル: Detailed estimation of generated woody biomass ash for use as fertilizer material著者: Ike, Minori; Kawagoe, Hiroyuki; Oshita, Kazuyuki; Takaoka, Masaki抄録: The physical and chemical characteristics of woody biomass ash (WBA) are highly dependent on the ash type, fuel, and furnace type. WBA recycling requires knowledge of its amount and characteristics. In this study, the amount of WBA recoverable as fertilizer in Japan was estimated considering the ash type, furnace type, and fuel type, using data obtained in a questionnaire-based survey of 105 of the 220 biomass power plants in Japan. The results showed that the amount of ash was > 1.5 times larger than that calculated according to fuel type. The discharged ash contained moisture, sand, and impurities. The slopes of the estimation model of the actual versus calculated amount were larger for gasification power generation, followed by stoker furnaces and fluidized bed furnaces. The bottom ash ratio in WBA from all fu ...
Development of chimeric antigen receptor T cells targeting cancer-expressing podocalyxin

タイトル: Development of chimeric antigen receptor T cells targeting cancer-expressing podocalyxin著者: Mishima, Yuta; Okada, Shintaro; Ishikawa, Akihiro; Wang, Bo; Waseda, Masazumi; Kaneko, K. Mika; Kato, Yukinari; Kaneko, Shin抄録: Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy has revolutionized the treatment of CD19-positive B-cell malignancies. However, the field is rapidly evolving to target other antigens, such as podocalyxin (PODXL), a transmembrane protein implicated in tumor progression and poor prognosis in various cancers. This study explores the potential of PODXL-targeted CAR-T cells, utilizing a cancer-specific monoclonal antibody (CasMab) technique to enhance the specificity and safety of CAR-T cell therapy. We developed CAR-T cells based on the single-chain variable fragment (scFv) derived from the cancer-specific monoclonal antibody PcMab-6, which selectively targets glycosylation modifications on PODXL-expressing cancer cells. As a control, CAR-T cells were a ...
