タイトル: 京都大学における研究データ管理の取り組み著者: 英理, 小野; 紀寿, 渥美抄録: オープンサイエンスや研究公正などの文脈から，大学等研究機関における研究データ管理（RDM）が推進されている。京都大学では国内外の動向に合わせるようにRDM の取り組みを進めてきた。本稿では，京都大学における取り組みについて経緯を振り返り，2024 年1月に設置したRDM のための組織である「データ運用支援基盤センター」の活動を紹介する。また，データ運用支援基盤センター内に学内向け支援組織となる「RDM コンサルタントグループ」を構成し，そこに寄せられた研究データ管理計画（DMP）に関する問い合わせを紹介することで，RDM およびDMP に関する現在の課題を共有する。

タイトル: Party Appeal, Asymmetric Elite Polarization, and Voter Turnout著者: Okamoto, Yuta; Ozaki, Yuuki抄録: This paper studies a root of asymmetric party polarization, where one party becomes more ideologically extreme and the other remains relatively moderate. In a modified two-party Hotelling-Downs model with heterogeneous electorates—which differ in incentives to vote —we show that when one party experiences a disproportionate decline in public appeal, the resulting equilibrium features asymmetric polarization and higher voter turnout, in line with recent elections.

タイトル: Sustainability of cities under declining population and decreasing distance frictions: The case of Japan著者: Mori, Tomoya; Murakami, Daisuke抄録: This study develops a statistical model that integrates economic agglomeration theory and power-law distributions of city sizes to project future population distribution on 1-km grid cells. We focus on Japan – a country at the forefront of rapid population decline. Drawing on official population projections and empirical patterns from past urban evolution in response to the development of high-speed rail and highway networks, we examine how ongoing demographic contraction and expected reductions in distance frictions may reshape urban geography. Our analysis suggests that urban economies will consolidate around fewer and larger cities, each of which will experience a flattening of population density as the decentralization of urban populations accelerates, while rural areas are expected to experience further depopulation ...
