タイトル: The behaviour of aluminium, manganese, iron, cobalt, and lead in the subarctic Pacific Ocean: boundary scavenging and temporal changes著者: Chan, Cheuk-Yin; Zheng, Linjie; Sohrin, Yoshiki抄録: Aluminium (Al), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), and lead (Pb) are trace metals that exhibit significant scavenging tendencies in the oceans. This study presents the full-depth distributions of the dissolved (d) and labile particulate (lp) fractions of these five elements in the subarctic Pacific Ocean, obtained during the GEOTRACES Japan KH-17-3 cruise. Along the 145° W meridional transect, the d and lp species of Al, Mn, Fe, and Co reflected fluvial supply from Alaska and benthic input from the continental shelf. We estimated that the boundary-scavenging zone has a width of approximately 250 km off Alaska. Along the 47° N zonal transect (GEOTRACES GP02 Line), we found input of trace metals from the Okhotsk and Bering Seas in the west, contrasting to the limited input ...
Surface heat flux of upward circular water jet impingement on a moving hot steel sheet

タイトル: Surface heat flux of upward circular water jet impingement on a moving hot steel sheet著者: Nagata, Keisuke; Hirao, Takumi; Terasaki, Kengo; Hikata, Tokuma; Fujimoto, Hitoshi抄録: This study experimentally investigated the boiling heat transfer characteristics of a circular upward water jet issued from a 7-mm-diameter nozzle impinging on a moving hot 0.3-mm-thick stainless-steel sheet. The moving velocity (1.5, 3.0, and 4.4 m/s), temperature (100-590℃), and water flow rates (2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 L/min) were varied during the test. The surface heat flux in the jet impact region depended significantly on the initial temperature of the solid. The surface heat flux increases as the solid temperature increases, attains a peak value (∼30 MW/m²) before decreasing, and reaches a valley value before increasing again. Furthermore, the moving velocity of the solid influences the cooling characteristics, considering that the duration of water contact of a local point on the tes ...

Title: 日本の高等教育における相互評価に関する研究の動向と課題Authors: 沙, 華哲; 杉浦, 真由美; 重田, 勝介Abstract: This study examines the effects of and challenges in using peer assessment as formative and summative evaluations in Japanese higher education and proposes methods and possibilities for using peer assessment in digital educational settings. For this purpose, a review of research from 2013 to 2023, on peer assessment in Japanese higher education was conducted. The results showed that there were 59 studies on peer assessment with comments, 29 on peer assessment with scoring, and 42 on both. Furthermore, the studies implementing peer assessment were categorized into 3 types such as “studies focusing on the mechanism of peer assessment,” “studies verifying the learning effects of peer assessment,” and “studies on the integration of peer assessment and ICT.” Going forward, there will be a demand for classroom practices focused o ...

Title: Experimental verification of active oscillation controller for vehicle drivetrain with backlash nonlinearity based on norm-limited SPSAAuthors: Yonezawa, Heisei; Yonezawa, Ansei; Kajiwara, ItsuroAbstract: To address vehicle drivetrain vibrations that cause discomfort and poor drivability, this study proposes a new active damping strategy with simple backlash compensation based on the simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation (SPSA) with norm limited update vector. First, an experimental device developed for a simplified drivetrain mechanism is demonstrated. A mechanism for reproducing both the contact mode and the backlash mode is included in the device. For the contact mode, a model based
